Vrak - Museum of Wreck and the Vasa Museum - what is the difference?
Vrak - Museum of Wrecks is a maritime archaeological museum that opened in the
autumn of 2021, telling the story of the wrecks that remain on the bottom of the
Baltic Sea. The museum features several exhibitions about wrecks from the Viking
Age to the present day.
At Vasamuseet, you can see the ship Vasa and exhibitions about, for example,
shipbuilding in the 17th century, the sinking of Vasa, the recovery of Vasa in
the 1960s, and the subsequent conservation.
Vasamuseet is located about a five-minute walk from Vrak at Galärvarvet in
Stockholm.
What is a combination ticket?
At Vrak, we offer a combination Ticket that grants access to our museum as well
as our sister museum Vasamuseet. The combination Ticket is valid for 72 hours.
Combination Tickets can be purchased through our website. You can also buy them
on-site at the entrance when you arrive at Vrak or Vasamuseet.
You can also purchase a Ticket for just one museum and then pay for an
additional Ticket at the other museum upon presenting a valid Ticket, in case
you regret not buying a combination Ticket from the start.
